This armorial card I have always had in the bureau that belonged to my great grandfather. I do not know if it is really the arms of the same family, but it is quite possible. The 'quartering' with the Vaudrey family is intriguing, as I believe we are also descended from the Vaudreys, a Cheshire family, which might suggest we are also related to the Wagstaffes, at least by marriage, which would explain the friendship with the Gent family, as well as the professional connection.
